Intellectual Property & Ownership Policy
Effective Date: November 2025
Last Updated: November 2025
1. Purpose
This Policy explains how Mile High Sports Management, LLC (“MHSM,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles ownership and usage rights for all content, media, and creative materials uploaded, created, or shared through our website and services. It exists to protect athletes, families, and MHSM from copyright or ownership disputes.
2. Who Owns What
All content (photos, videos, bios, highlight clips, logos, and other media) submitted by athletes or parents remains their property.
By providing that content to MHSM, you grant MHSM a limited, revocable license to:
Display and host your materials on our website or athlete profiles.
Feature your content in marketing or promotional examples (e.g., social media, web galleries).
Edit, format, or resize materials as needed for quality or brand consistency.
Athletes or parents may revoke permission for MHSM to use their content at any time by emailing milehighsportsmanagement@gmail.com.
3. MHSM-Created Work
Creative materials produced by MHSM (logos, video edits, photos, etc.) remain MHSM property until full payment is received.
Once payment is made, ownership of the final, delivered work transfers to the athlete or client.
MHSM retains the right to:
Display completed work in its portfolio, website, or marketing materials.
Retain drafts, templates, and project files for internal use.
4. Responsibility for Content
Athletes and parents are responsible for ensuring that all uploaded or provided content does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights.
MHSM is not liable for any violations involving school or university logos, watermarked images, or copyrighted music uploaded by users.
If a takedown request is received from a rights holder, MHSM will promptly remove the content to remain compliant.
5. Logo & Brand Design
MHSM designs are original works created for individual clients.
MHSM is not responsible for trademark registration or prior-mark searches.
Athletes should verify that their logo does not conflict with any existing brand before commercial use.
MHSM may revoke permission to use a logo if it is later found to violate an existing trademark.
6. Minors and Parental Consent
If the athlete is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before any media is posted or used by MHSM.
By giving consent, the parent or guardian confirms:
They reviewed all content being submitted.
They grant MHSM permission to display and promote it.
They release MHSM from liability related to intellectual-property claims involving their child’s materials.
7. Revocation and Takedowns
To request removal of any content:
Include your name, the athlete’s name, and the link or description of the content.
MHSM will respond within 10 business days and remove the material as soon as feasible.
8. Indemnification
By submitting content or purchasing a service, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mile High Sports Management, LLC, its owners, staff, affiliates, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or legal expenses resulting from:
Copyright, trademark, or intellectual property violations in content you upload or request to be used;
