Parent & Guardian Consent Policy

1. Purpose
This Policy explains how Mile High Sports Management, LLC (“MHSM,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) obtains and manages parental or guardian consent when providing services to athletes under 18 years of age (“minors”).
MHSM provides professional media, marketing, and creative services for student-athletes. Because some of our clients are high school athletes, we follow strict compliance and privacy procedures to ensure all minors have verified parental authorization before services begin.
2. Digital Parental Consent
MHSM does not use physical signature forms.
Parental consent is gathered and logged digitally when:
A parent or athlete adds a service to the shopping cart, or
A purchase is made through our checkout system, or
A profile or athlete form is completed on our website.
By checking the required consent boxes during checkout or form submission, the parent or guardian provides legally valid digital authorization for:
Their child’s participation in MHSM services;
MHSM’s limited use of athlete content for promotional purposes; and
The collection and storage of basic information necessary to provide services.
This process is compliant with COPPA, Colorado SB 24-041, and current digital consent standards for service-based companies.
3. What Parental Consent Covers
By completing a service purchase or form submission, parents or guardians confirm that they:
Approve their child’s participation in MHSM services (photo/video sessions, content creation, etc.).
Grant MHSM permission to display approved athlete content (photos, videos, graphics) on MHSM’s website, athlete pages, or social media for promotional purposes.
Understand that MHSM is not an NIL agency or athlete representation service.
Confirm that all payments are made by them or on behalf of the athlete — MHSM does not pay or compensate athletes.
Agree to MHSM’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Intellectual Property & Ownership Policy.
4. Verification and Recordkeeping
Digital consent is verified through Squarespace’s checkout and form submission logs, which capture timestamped confirmation of consent.
Each submission is stored securely in MHSM’s Squarespace Commerce and Form database for compliance documentation.
MHSM may request additional confirmation if the athlete’s age is unclear or unverified.
5. Revoking Consent
Parents or guardians may revoke consent at any time by emailing milehighsportsmanagement@gmail.com.
Upon verified request, MHSM will:
Remove the athlete’s profile or content from our website and marketing platforms, and
Delete any associated media or personal data not required for recordkeeping or legal compliance.
Requests are processed within 10 business days.
6. Data Protection
MHSM securely stores minor athlete data within Squarespace and Stripe’s encrypted systems.
We do not share, sell, or disclose personal information to outside parties.
Access to minor data is limited to MHSM staff who require it to perform service-related functions.
MHSM automatically deletes or anonymizes personal data after two (2) years of inactivity unless continued service is requested.
7. Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians have the right to:
Request a copy of the information MHSM has collected about their child;
Request edits or deletion of that data;
Withdraw consent for media or marketing use at any time.

8. Compliance & Liability
MHSM complies fully with all federal and Colorado child privacy regulations.
MHSM is not responsible for inaccurate information provided during digital consent or checkout.
Any misuse or misrepresentation of age or identity by the athlete or parent falls outside MHSM’s liability.
